DETAILED INFORMATION

The PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency is designed to prepare the resident to be a skilled practitioner that is able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team. The resident will have a longitudinal exposure to primary care within our Family Medicine and General Internal Medicine clinics. Additional opportunities are available for exposure to specialty clinics (i.e. Anticoagulation, Cardiology, Center for Infectious Disease, Endocrinology, Renal Transplant, and Center for Digestive Disorders). The resident will refine skills to manage complex chronic medical conditions as the population Boston Medical Center provides care for is one that is underserved. The resident will have opportunities to precept students/residents, facilitate lectures and/or seminars, in addition to participating in a pharmacy postgraduate teaching seminar.
