DETAILED INFORMATION

Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center’s Pharmacy PGY1 Residency is a 12-month postgraduate training program designed to help new pharmacists gain confidence and competence. Bon Secours PGY1 Pharmacy Residency trains pharmaceutical care generalists who will be able to provide medication-related services to a broad range of patients in the community health system setting. Residents are involved in patient-centered care, medication use policy, medication information, leadership and practice management, project management, education of health care providers and trainees, and participation in ambulatory care clinics. The purpose of the PGY1 Pharmacy Residency is to prepare pharmacist clinicians for patient care positions in acute care settings, pharmacist preceptor positions, or for PGY2 training in their area of choice.
