DETAILED INFORMATION

Flexibility allows residents to tailor their experiences to meet their individual interests and career goals. In addition to required experiences in Ambulatory Care and Medication Strategy & Safety, there are six 6-week elective rotations in 21 specialized practice areas from which to choose. Practice Management experiences are integrated throughout the year. Residents are mentored by outstanding preceptors who are committed to patient care and the training of young practitioners. Written and verbal communication skills are emphasized throughout the program. Each resident completes a clinical research project. There are opportunities for teaching and serving as clinical preceptors for pharmacy students from Campbell, High Point, and Wingate Universities, and a teaching certificate is offered. Please see website for more information.
