DETAILED INFORMATION

The University of Maryland’s PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency program provides in-depth education and training to accomplish four major goals: (1) Provide individualized, direct care to patients; (2) Participate in the development and implementation of ambulatory care collaborative practices; (3) Develop research abilities; and (4) Develop teaching abilities. The resident completes practice experiences in multiple general ambulatory care clinics and specialty clinics throughout the Baltimore metro area. Required rotations typically include family medicine, transitions of care, diabetes, HIV, anticoagulation, and renal disease. Elective rotations include geriatrics, pediatrics, pain management, and many others. The resident will complete an ambulatory care research project and participate in both didactic and experiential PharmD education
