DETAILED INFORMATION

Residents are trained in the provision of compassionate and collaborative primary care to underserved populations and will develop the skills necessary to start a productive career in pharmacy education. Practice sites include Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center primary care clinics where residents practice chronic disease management with additional opportunities in mental health, asthma, COPD, diabetes education, and transitions of care. Residents serve as Post-Graduate Instructors within Pacific University College of Health Professions and gain teaching experience through lectures, skills lab facilitation, student precepting, and school committee service.

Applicant qualifications – PGY1 residency or equivalent experience, graduate of an accredited PharmD program; must be eligible for Oregon licensure.
