DETAILED INFORMATION

Sponsored by LIU-Pharmacy, this program takes place at The Brooklyn Hospital Center. The Department of Pharmacy Services has a progressive clinical focus, with 11 pharmacy residents, 13 pharmacotherapy specialists, interns, staff pharmacists, technicians, messengers, and a dedicated management team.

The PGY-2 ambulatory care resident will rotate through various clinics with established collaborative drug therapy management agreements. The resident will participate in the in-house on-call program (day shifts approximately every 3rd weekend) in serving as a drug information resource to other health care providers, managing pharmacokinetic consults, and maintaining other key clinical services. The resident will precept APPE students on their ambulatory care rotations, as well have various teaching opportunities at Long Island University.
