DETAILED INFORMATION

Announcement: The pharmacy program offered on our Albany, NY campus is a traditional 4-year degree. We’re excited to announce we plan to offer a 3-year Doctor of Pharmacy degree at our Colchester, Vermont campus in June 2019, pending ACPE approval.
Our Albany, NY campus is located in the capital city of New York, within 2.5 hours of Boston and New York City and within close proximity to major medical centers (such as Albany Medical Center), laboratories, and government agencies.
As the role of pharmacists evolves to a more patient-focused landscape, we are committed to providing an education for students that will prepare them to be beyond practice ready upon entering their careers. We recently opened two student-operated pharmacies near campus, providing students an entrepreneurial experience to strengthen skills in communication, leadership, and service to a diverse population. For more information on the student-operated pharmacies, visit https://www.acphs.edu/student-operated-pharmacies.
Outside of the classroom, the College’s dedication to pharmacy and health sciences permeates the campus through professional clubs, organizations, and activities. Students enjoy an array of extracurriculars, such as athletics, performing arts, and clubs. In addition, the city of Albany offers political, cultural, and social opportunities for students to complement their pharmacy education. The region’s population of over a million people includes over 60,000 college students, providing students access a major metropolitan area with the feel a tight-knit college town.
In a survey of graduates from the Class of 2017, 95% of respondents stated that they are employed or are pursuing post-graduate opportunities. Furthermore, ACPHS was recently ranked the #1 value added college nationally by a report from the Brookings Institution of 3,173 colleges and #2 for average salaries 10 years after enrollment by the College Scorecard. See all ACPHS rankings at https://www.acphs.edu/press-releases/acphs-rises-national-rankings.
