DETAILED INFORMATION

The Touro University California College of Pharmacy program is a four-year Doctor of Pharmacy program located on historic Mare Island in the Northeast corner of the San Francisco Bay. Our program is unique nationwide in that it includes two full years of clinical practice that is preceeded by a rigorous two years of didactic instruction while the national paradigm is three years of didactic instruction with a one year clinical component. This curriculum prepares students for a clinically-oriented, contemporary pharmacy practice.
Pharmacy school, however, is about more than the curriculum, and differences between schools are largely due to philosophical differences around how the material is presented. We invite you to experience “The Touro Difference” (http://touro.university-tour.com/4/13/culture/the-touro-difference)!
We strive to provide students with individualized attention through small classes and engaging faculty with an open door policy and comprehensive training including simulation in our innovative on-campus pharmacy practice center. The program emphasizes expanded clinical experiences, the extensive use of technology, and teamwork with other students. Our vision is to cultivate inspirational teaching and scholarship, transformative leadership, and exemplary service. Additional information may be found by visiting http://cop.tu.edu/index.html.
