DETAILED INFORMATION

The Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is success-centered, leadership-focused and has a powerful alumni network. We boast dedicated, experienced faculty who support students throughout their time at Pacific. We’re not just a School. We’re a family.
Students can earn a doctor of pharmacy degree in three years. Our accelerated, eight-semester doctor of pharmacy curriculum exposes students to the pharmaceutical, administrative, social, behavioral and clinical science aspects of the field. From the very first semester, students develop clinical and patient-care skills – both are integrated throughout the curriculum. Students also gain patient care experience in a wide variety of settings that provide them with a foundation of practical training.
We hold academic affiliations with major medical centers, teaching hospitals, and related practice settings in support of our educational programs. We empower students to succeed by providing access to state-of-the-art laboratories and equipment for meaningful, hands-on learning. Students also have the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and serve the community through student-led health care outreach programs. We create opportunities for students to network with alumni who are powerful and influential leaders in their respective professions. Our graduates are in demand – many place in residencies and fellowships nationwide and also become leaders in the field.
