The University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy and Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia, SC offers an Infectious Diseases PGY2 residency. The primary practice site is a tertiary care, academic medical center and primary referral center for central South Carolina. The trainee will work closely with the ID medical fellowship at Palmetto Health and will have learning opportunities in antimicrobial stewardship (both inpatient & outpatient), infectious diseases consults, HIV, HCV, travel medicine/global health, microbiology and more! A secondary focus will be placed on clinical research. A formal faculty appointment as a Clinical Instructor with the College of Pharmacy is included. Graduates of the program should feel confident to work in a variety of practice areas.
