DETAILED INFORMATION

The infectious diseases clinical pharmacy residency is structured to provide the opportunity to experience and develop knowledge and skills required in a clinical practice. It will be customized to individual needs. The emphasis will be on infectious diseases with experience in adult and pediatric ID, antimicrobial stewardship, bone and joint ID, infection control, and microbiology. A research project will be required to include: an original idea, formation of a hypothesis and pursuit of proof. The teaching center includes a 722 bed academic medical center and tertiary referral center, including University Hospital, Connerly critical care hospital, and the Children’s Hospital, allowing for a broad base experience.
