DETAILED INFORMATION

The University of Mississippi offers a comprehensive postgraduate residency training experience with a PGY-1 Community Pharmacy Residency program. This multi-site program has 3 positions (2 in Jackson, MS and 1 in Oxford, MS), each providing experiences at innovative practice sites. Our program offers unique opportunities for precepting Doctor of Pharmacy students, providing education and individualized comprehensive medication management (CMM) programs in community and clinical settings, and conducting research. In addition to core residency requirements, the resident is involved in the activities of the School of Pharmacy Community-Based Research Program (CBRP). Many of the projects of the CBRP seek to improve care for patients in the underserved Mississippi Delta region through implementation of pharmacy CMM services.
