DETAILED INFORMATION

The Infectious Diseases (ID) Residency offers unique experiences to develop the knowledge and clinical skills to practice in the areas of ID, HIV, and antimicrobial stewardship. The resident will function as a member of the multidisciplinary ID team. Our goal is to promote individual growth, professional development, self-reliance, and responsibility by developing an autonomous practitioner. Required rotations include: general ID, antimicrobial stewardship, internal medicine, critical care, microbiology, and HIV/HCV clinics. The resident engages in ongoing services including PK monitoring service, outpatient parenteral antibiotic therapy, formulary management, case conferences, and didactic lecture series. The program will prepare the resident to serve as a clinical pharmacy specialist in a variety of ID settings including academia.
