DETAILED INFORMATION

This PGY2 residency develops expertise in ambulatory care. Two Federal Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), Salud and Clinica, are required sites where residents spend 9 months of their training. Geriatrics and family medicine experiences at the University of Colorado are also required. Residents develop advanced skills in patient care, pharmacotherapy, interprofessional practice, education, and academia. Elective rotations may include specialty clinics. University of Colorado residents are Clinical Instructors. The University of Colorado is located on the Anschutz Medical Campus; a state of the art integrated academic campus. The Colorado Resident Teaching Certificate and the ASPIRE (A Structured Program to Guide Resident Experience in Research) programs are included. A research project of publishable/presentable quality is required.
