DETAILED INFORMATION

The PGY2 ambulatory care residency at KPGA prepares residents for positions as clinical pharmacy specialists across a variety of ambulatory care settings. Our program offers opportunities in the following areas: primary care, cardiology, chronic kidney disease, gastroenterology/hepatology, ID/HIV, geriatrics/palliative care, oncology and anticoagulation. Patient interactions may be primarily telephonic with opportunities for office visits or a combination of both. Residents will gain insight into providing comprehensive medication management in multidisciplinary primary care and specialty outpatient practices, as well as, developing their own ambulatory care service. Elective rotations are available to the resident and will be decided upon based on individual preferences and availability.
