DETAILED INFORMATION

The purpose of this program is to provide the resident with advanced experience, knowledge, and skills to become an effective practitioner and leader in contemporary pediatric pharmacy. The residency is designed to take the PGY1 graduate and train them to a higher level in the skills to be effective in pediatrics. A research project is required. The resident will also have responsibility for conducting didactic lectures in the University of Minnesota Pediatrics course as well as involvement in conducting the course under the supervision of the course director. Learning experiences are tailored to meet the resident’s previous pediatric experience and goals. The resident rotates on both the Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses of Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. Pharmacist licensure in the state of Minnesota is required.
