DETAILED INFORMATION

The primary emphasis of the residency is to develop problem solving skills in pediatric pharmacotherapy. This includes the establishment of a firm knowledge base in pediatric/neonatal pharmacology and pharmacokinetics; and the ability to provide nutrition support and therapeutic interventions to enhance the management of pediatric patients. The resident will gain practical clinical experience by actively participating in clinical pharmacy services such as TDM, nutrition support, and pediatric specialty clinics.
Core rotations include: General Pediatrics, NICU, PICU, Pediatric Oncology, Pediatric Infectious Diseases, Pediatric Nutrition, Investigational Drug Service, Pediatric Emergency Department, and longitudinal Cystic Fibrosis Ambulatory Care Clinic. Additional sub-specialty rotations are available.
