DETAILED INFORMATION

The resident’s practice emulates that of the ambulatory care faculty. The resident teaches and assists in curriculum development for different disciplines. The resident provides patient care under different practice models as well as maintains his/her own patient panel. The resident will pursue scholarly endeavors. The atmosphere is remarkably collegial and lighthearted. The pharmacy residencies have operated at Saint Joseph Family Medicine Center alongside our family medicine and podiatric residencies since 2004; Faculty have developed and sustained clinics in asthma, anticoagulation, diabetes, MTM, pharmacotherapy, transition of care, and smoking cessation. Unless previously completed, the resident will participate in a teaching certification program. There is also opportunity for a 2-3 week global/international health experience.
