The PGY2 Ambulatory Care Specialty Residency at the Roudebush VA Medical Center emphasizes balanced training in ambulatory care, education, and research. The program serves to increase the knowledge, medication therapy management skills, teaching, and leadership skills in the area of ambulatory care. Residents completing the program will become independent practitioners and competent educators to other healthcare providers and patients. The resident will be involved in primary and specialty ambulatory care clinics, drug information, teaching and research. Residents have the opportunity to complete a teaching certificate program. In addition, the resident will complete a research project and be encouraged to pursue publication.
