DETAILED INFORMATION

The Ambulatory Care residency is designed to deepen the resident’s understanding of both practice management and clinical skills necessary to successfully integrate ambulatory care pharmacy services into the healthcare system. The program emphasizes chronic disease management in the primary care setting while also allowing for experience in multiple specialty clinic areas. Service evaluation, creation/enhancement, and third-party reimbursement will be focus areas in each setting in which the resident rotates. The resident will have the opportunity to teach PharmD students in both didactic and experiential situations.
