DETAILED INFORMATION

This second year residency includes specialty training in a variety of pharmacist-managed and multidisciplinary clinic settings. Core experiences include primary care, anticoagulation, formulary management, geriatrics, and specialty clinics. Elective experiences include mental health, neurology, cardiology, hepatitis C, hem/onc, etc. The resident will participate in administrative and clinic development projects, as well as conduct a research project. Teaching activities include lecturing, facilitating teaching labs, and precepting. The resident is encouraged to participate in the UK COP teaching certificate program. By completing this comprehensive training program, the resident is equipped with excellent leadership and practice skills, prepared to be a well-rounded clinical pharmacy specialist in an ambulatory care setting.
