DETAILED INFORMATION

The goals of this PGY2 residency in cardiology is to prepare the resident to provide care to patients with cardiovascular disease as a clinical pharmacist on the cardiology services of the primary practice site (OU Medical Center), provide education, and complete a research project. The residency is one year in length and provides the resident with the academic rank of Clinical Instructor with the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy (OUCOP). The residency is offered and administered by the OUCOP. Candidates must have a Pharm.D. degree from an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy, completed a PGY1 residency, and demonstrate the personal and professional maturity required of the specialty pharmacy practitioner. Candidates must be eligible for licensure in the state of Oklahoma.
