This PGY-2 Specialty Cardiology Residency Program is a joint Program between Western University of Health Sciences and the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (VAGLAHS). The overall goal of the Program is to advance the evidence-based knowledge, skills and abilities of the resident in providing pharmaceutical care services in cardiology, and is designed to provide residents training experiences to become leaders in cardiology pharmacy practice. The resident will gain clinical experience in the inpatient and ambulatory cardiology setting, including the CCU, general cardiology units, consult services and specialty cardiology clinics. The resident will gain extensive experience in conducting clinical cardiology research and will participate in teaching at VAGLAHS and Western University.
