The PGY2 Cardiology Residency is a 1-year postgraduate training program that focuses on the development of the knowledge, skills, and characteristics needed to provide pharmaceutical care in cardiovascular clinical pharmacy practice. This specialty residency is a coordinated educational experience that will assure the resident can provide safe, efficacious and cost-effective cardiovascular pharmacotherapy through patient care, teaching, and research activities. Inpatient clinical rotations are available in the following areas: Cardiac ICU, General Cardiology, Advanced Heart Failure/Cardiac Transplant/Mechanical Circulatory Support, Cardiac Surgery, Electrophysiology, Medicine ICU, and Hematology/Coagulation. Ambulatory practice rotations are available in the Anticoagulation, General Cardiology, HF, EP, and Heart Transplant Clinics.
