DETAILED INFORMATION

The Pharmacotherapy Residency at the University of North Carolina Hospitals affords graduates the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to provide pharmacotherapy services across diverse patient populations and in different practice settings as a member of multidisciplinary teams. This includes practice in a variety of acute care, ambulatory care, and critical care environments. The program focuses on the development of decision making skills, literature evaluation abilities, clinical research competency, a broadly applicable pharmacotherapy knowledge base, and expertise in provision of pharmaceutical education to health care providers, students, patients, and the community at large.
