DETAILED INFORMATION

Residents will gain the necessary skills to become a clinical pharmacist emphasizing infectious diseases pharmacotherapy. Required clinical experiences will include rotations in Antimicrobial Stewardship, Adult and Pediatric Infectious Diseases, Bone Marrow Transplantation, HIV Clinic, Microbiology Laboratory, and Infection Control. Additional experiences include a variety of elective rotations, clinical research, medication use evaluations, and teaching opportunities. The resident will be involved in drug policy design and implementation through participation in the antimicrobial stewardship program and leadership on the P&T Infectious Diseases Subcommittee. The program is extremely flexible and elective experiences can be chosen to complement the individual resident’s career goals
