Nebraska Medicine and the University of Nebraska Medical Center are well-known for being a center of excellence in antimicrobial stewardship and infectious diseases treatment. This PGY2 residency in infectious diseases pharmacotherapy will provide a resident with the knowledge and skills needed to be a respected clinical specialist or faculty member in the area. Rotations include antimicrobial stewardship, general infectious diseases, transplant infectious diseases, oncology infectious diseases, orthopedic infectious diseases/outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy monitoring, HIV clinic, and research. Additional opportunities exist in pediatric infectious diseases and antimicrobial stewardship outreach with the state department of Health and Human Services, Division of Public Health (asap.nebraskamed.com)
