DETAILED INFORMATION

This PGY-2 residency program is designed to develop specialized clinical skills and knowledge of pharmacotherapy in the areas of solid organ transplantation. The resident is an active member of several multi-disciplinary teams responsible for care of transplant patients (and living donors) on the inpatient and ambulatory transplantation services. The resident will gain skills by participating in multidisciplinary rounds, patient education and the ambulatory transplant clinic. The resident will assist in teaching a pharmacotherapy course(s) at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy, and co-precept rotations in these areas for pharmacy students and PGY-1 Residents. Research opportunities are also available and encouraged including experiences with the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients which is housed onsite.
