This residency is designed to provide experience and competencies in infectious diseases pharmacotherapy. Practical experiences include inpatient I.D. consultation services, outpatient HIV clinics, epidemiology, microbiology laboratory, and antimicrobial surveillance. The resident is responsible for conducting at least one research project, the results of which will be submitted for publication. The resident will have teaching opportunities involving students at Wayne State University. Participation in formulary activities involving antimicrobial agents is expected.
