DETAILED INFORMATION

This ASHP-accredited PGY-2 program is designed to provide an advanced experience in infectious diseases at a large tertiary care teaching institution. The resident will regularly rotate on 3 different inpatient infectious disease services, participate on an Antimicrobial Stewardship Program team, and also staff a longitudinal HIV-ID outpatient clinic. Elective opportunities in many other practice areas (e.g. solid organ transplant, bone marrow transplant, pediatric infectious diseases, OPAT) are available. Completion of an introductory clinical microbiology laboratory experience and a research project is expected, along with involvement in clinical and didactic teaching at St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
