Midwestern University Chicago College of Pharmacy offers a post-graduate year two (PGY2) infectious diseases (ID) residency program in conjunction with Northwestern Memorial Hospital (Chicago, IL). The purpose of this program is to use and build upon the competencies achieved in a post-graduate year one (PGY1) residency to promote the development of proficient, independent clinicians with an expertise in infectious diseases pharmacotherapy. Graduates of the program will possess the knowledge and skills to function as independent ID practitioners who will be able to practice in a variety of clinical settings and as pharmacy educators proficient at didactic and experiential teaching.
