DETAILED INFORMATION

The PGY-2 Internal Medicine Residency Program is designed to provide the opportunity for the resident to obtain advanced training in the area of internal medicine and its sub-specialties. The resident will receive well-rounded training experience that will enable the resident to succeed in the areas of service, teaching, and scholarly activities. Required rotations include:
– Internal Medicine (x1)
– Internal Medicine w/Student Precepting (x2)
– MICU (x1)
– Ambulatory Care (Family Medicine, Heart Failure/Pulmonary Hypertension, Transitions of Care, or Psychiatry)
– Medicine Sub-specialty: Nephrology or Medical Cardiology
– 3 open elective experiences, including: Academia, International Medicine (Cape Town, South Africa), Infectious Disease Consults, General Pediatric Medicine, Others
