The program will provide specialized training necessary to develop knowledge and professional practice skills essential to serve as a specialist in Adult Internal Medicine. Opportunities exist for development of teaching and research skills at UK College of Pharmacy. Rotations offered include internal medicine (6 months), cardiology (1 month), pulmonary/MICU (1 month), and infectious diseases (1 month). Clinical expertise in subspecialty areas will be available through 3 months of elective rotations. The opportunities for internal medicine experience include academic teaching teams, hospitalist non-rounding teams, and hospitalist rounding teams via the unique BOOST initiative.
