The Post-Graduate Year Two Pharmacy Residency in Critical Care at the University of Kentucky is designed to build on the broad base of skills of PGY1 residency training. The program is intended to foster growth of residents into independent, accountable, and highly skilled leaders in the profession of pharmacy and in particular the arena of critical care medicine. The critical care residents will obtain an in-depth knowledge of therapeutic areas of emphasis and an advanced skill set in areas of clinical practice, education, scholarship and pharmacy leadership. Residents will be prepared to take the board certification exam in critical care upon completion of the residency. Graduates of the critical care program will be able to successfully serve as an authoritative resource in a variety of settings.
