DETAILED INFORMATION

The program is organized and designed to provide the postgraduate resident the opportunity for advanced training in the critical care arena. The residency at WVU Medicine provides the resident with the knowledge, skills and abilities required to become a competent practitioner. Upon completion, the resident will have the ability to practice within all facets of critical care. The resident also will actively participate on the Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee as well as the Formulary Subcommittee. The resident will be expected to teach within the intensive care units as well as at the West Virginia University School of Pharmacy.

Required Learning Experiences – Cardiac Intensive Care, Emergency Medicine, Medical Intensive Care, Neuro Intensive Care, Pediatric Intensive Care, Surgical Intensive Care and Trauma
