This PGY1 residency program offers a broad spectrum of pharmaceutical care in a 493-bed community teaching hospital in the suburbs of St. Louis. The resident participates in approximately 7-8 months of required rotations, consisting of inpatient medicine and subspecialties, and up to 3-4 months of elective rotations. Required rotations include internal medicine, cardiology, infectious diseases, critical care, anticoagulation clinic, and administration/patient safety. Residents precept Doctor of Pharmacy students, enroll in a formal teaching workshop series, and conduct resident seminars. Resident is required to complete a project.
