This PGY2 internal medicine residency program offers the resident a broad experience in internal medicine at a 493-bed community, teaching hospital in St. Louis’ west county. The resident participates in 6 blocks of required rotations and up to 4 blocks of elective rotations. Required rotations include internal medicine (general, cardiology, and neurology), critical care, infectious disease, and primary precepting. Electives are based on the resident’s interests and career goals. The resident is required to present a formal seminar presentation as well as complete a longitudinal research project. Multiple opportunities exist for teaching, precepting, mentoring, and presenting to pharmacy students, staff, and medical residents throughout the year. A teaching certificate is available through St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
