As a PGY-1 resident at Maimonides Medical Center, you will experience an extensive array of rotations to further develop your knowledge and enhance your clinical skills in the field of pharmacy. Unique and exciting opportunities include rotations in Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry, Infectious Diseases, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Pediatrics, Investigational drug studies, Pharmacy Management and Administration, Cardiology, and Oncology. The resident will also be enrolled in a Teaching Certification program offered by Long Island University. Residents will present formal lectures, prepare a major project to be presented at ASHP’s Midyear Clinical Meeting, and fulfill weekly short-call requirements in the Emergency Department where they will have the opportunity to participate in public health initiatives.
