DETAILED INFORMATION

This comprehensive one year specialty residency provides in-depth training and exposure in managing all aspects of neonatal and pediatric critical care. Residents will have the opportunity to rotate through the pediatric, cardiovascular, and neonatal intensive care units, operating room/anesthesia, nutrition services, and infectious disease. Other experiences include, solid organ transplant, hematology/oncology, stem cell, nephrology, pulmonology, emergency department and other areas to fit the resident’s interest. Residents are required to attend Code Blue events, serve on the Code Committee and present to Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee. The goal of the PGY2 residency in Critical Care is to train excellent, innovative clinical pharmacists suited to work with critically-ill children.
