DETAILED INFORMATION

The Brooklyn Hospital Center, Brooklyn’s oldest hospital, located in Downtown Brooklyn, merely minutes from Manhattan. A major transportation hub makes the hospital easily accessible by car, bus, railroad, and subway. The hospital is fully accredited by The Joint Commission. The Department of Pharmacy Services has a progressive clinical focus, with 11 pharmacy residents, 13 pharmacotherapy specialists, interns staff pharmacists, technicians, messengers, and a dedicated management team. The PGY1 Residency includes clinical rotations in the inpatient and outpatient setting, adult, pediatric, and geriatric populations. Residents will play a key role in emergency response and delivery of clinical services through the 24-hour in-house on-call program. The program fosters critical thinking skills and independence.
