University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center is a 225 bed community hospital. The purpose of the PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency is to graduate highly skilled pharmacists with the tools necessary to provide quality patient care as members of interprofessional healthcare teams. Emphasis will be placed on communication, lifelong learning, leadership, evidence-based medication management and safety in the unique setting of a community hospital, giving graduates a strong foundation to pursue a career in clinical pharmacy or further training in a PGY2 residency.
