The UH Cleveland Medical Center postgraduate year one Pharmacy Practice Residency builds on Doctor of Pharmacy education to continue the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of disease states. Residents will be exposed to all pivotal areas of pharmacy practice and will optimize patient care and outcomes by applying evidence-based medicine as integral members of multidisciplinary health care teams. Through these experiences, the resident is provided the opportunity to develop as a general pharmacy practitioner and to build a foundation for further postgraduate training. Residents will be involved in pharmacy research and providing education to other health care professionals and patients in alignment with the hospital’s mission: To Heal. To Teach. To Discover.
