DETAILED INFORMATION

The PGY-2 critical care residency at TUSP is a one-year program, designed to develop expertise in providing direct patient care in a critical care setting and education of pharmacy students. The resident will participate in direct patient care activities at Temple University Hospital as a part of the multidisciplinary teams in a variety of intensive care units (ICU). There are 4 required rotations (2- Medical ICU, 1-trauma/surgery, cardiothoracic surgery) and four elective rotations. Some elective opportunities include neurologic/neurosurgical ICUs, emergency medicine, and infectious diseases. Resident activities will include completion of a longitudinal research project, submission of a review article, book chapter or case report, as well as participating in didactic and experiential education for Doctor of Pharmacy students.
