DETAILED INFORMATION

St. Louis College of Pharmacy partners with the VA St. Louis Healthcare System to offer a PGY2 Internal Medicine residency program. The resident gains expert level clinical experience in preparation for clinical specialist or pharmacy practice faculty positions in internal medicine. The resident provides direct patient care on interdisciplinary teams on required clinical rotations in internal medicine, critical care, and infectious diseases. The resident also has a longitudinal experience in an ambulatory clinic. A variety of elective rotations are available within the VA medical center. Residents deliver presentations to a variety of audiences. An independent or collaborative project is completed during the residency year. Educational experiences help prepare residents for teaching in both the didactic and experiential setting.
