DETAILED INFORMATION

This residency program will provide the knowledge, skills and competence required for pharmacy practice within a healthcare-system; including medication-related care of patients in both inpatient and ambulatory settings. Rotational and longitudinal experiences encompass a broad range of pharmaceutical services including internal medicine, critical care, infectious diseases, oncology, pediatrics, and medical information systems technology. Residents will complete a longitudinal research project and obtain a Teaching Certificate. Opportunities exist to mentor and educate students through both didactic and practice based teaching. Graduates will be prepared to assume positions as pharmacist clinicians in a multi-hospital system environment or to pursue second year post graduate training in specialized primary care.
