Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY, is a 784-bed teaching university-affiliated, non-profit community institution. The resident will receive comprehensive, individualized training in all aspects of internal medicine. The resident will attend workshops in physical assessment, clinical pharmacokinetics, internal medicine, and biostatistics, and will be expected to apply the science in daily practice. The resident is responsible for providing comprehensive medication therapy management for patients and performing pharmacotherapy and pharmacokinetic consultations. The resident will approve restricted antimicrobials, receive BCLS and ACLS certification, and participate in codes. Faculty appointment with Touro College of Pharmacy is assigned as well as the opportunity to complete a teaching certificate program.
