The Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center/David Minkin Rehabilitation Institute is a 784-bed teaching university-affiliated, non-profit community institution, comprised of 318-bed acute care hospital and a 466-bed adult and pediatric skilled nursing long-term care facility. The resident will provide medication therapy management for geriatric patients in multiple settings. All residents will attend extensive workshops in physical assessment, clinical pharmacokinetics, geriatric medicine, and biostatistics, and will be expected to apply the science in daily practice. The resident will intensely participate in Drug Regimen Reviews, MUEs, QAs, and medication pass. Faculty appointment with Touro College of Pharmacy is assigned as well as the opportunity to complete a teaching certificate program.
