DETAILED INFORMATION

Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center is a 784-bed teaching university-affiliated, non-profit community institution. The resident will receive comprehensive, individualized training in all aspects of critical care pharmacotherapy. All residents will attend workshops in physical assessment, clinical pharmacokinetics, and biostatistics, and will be expected to apply the science in daily practice. The resident will be responsible for providing comprehensive medication therapy management for critically ill patients and performing infectious disease, toxicology, pharmacotherapy and pharmacokinetic consultations. Residents also practice in a state-of-the-art Emergency Medicine Satellite Pharmacy. Faculty appointment with Touro College of Pharmacy is assigned as well as the opportunity to complete a teaching certificate program.
