Duke University Hospital is a 900 bed academic learning center located in Durham NC. This PGY2 residency provides intensive training in the care of organ transplant patients. Opportunity exists for the resident to work with the Multidisciplinary Transplant Team and Clinical Pharmacists in the inpatient and outpatient setting. The resident will be responsible for participation in clinical pharmacy rounding services with direct patient care responsibilities in abdominal, lung, heart, VCA, and small bowel transplantation. Additional responsibilities include education of healthcare providers, didactic opportunities at local schools of pharmacy, participation in transplant conferences, completion of transplant focused projects, education of transplant recipients and their caregivers, and development of research protocols.
