Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) is a level 1 trauma and academic medical center. The PGY1 pharmacy residency program offers a comprehensive training experience that accelerates growth of each resident’s skills and abilities in patient care, pharmacy operations (within the facility and across the health-system), quality and medication safety, project management, leadership, and teaching. Monthly rotation opportunities include internal medicine, infectious diseases, ambulatory care, cardiology, critical care, hematology/oncology, pediatrics, solid organ transplant, behavioral health, clinical toxicology and pharmacy administration. Longitudinal learning experiences include a teaching and learning curriculum, operational core, and research.
